SkyWest Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Hangar – Boise

SkyWest Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Hangar in Boise, Idaho is a 135,000 sq ft maintenance facility constructed on a 14 acre site at the Boise Airport.  The facility includes hangar space (100,000 sq ft), office and shop (35,000 sq ft) with offices, conference rooms and breakroom.  The hangar is the largest pre-manufactured clear-span building in the Pacific Northwest with 80 ft roof height with tapered columns, clear-span frames and bay spacing at 25 ft.  The clear height within the building is 55 ft with 45 ft door clearance.

McAlvain provided design/build services for the project and self-performed 34% of the work with its own forces including excavation and concrete footings, foundations and slab on grade.
